Château La Gatte - Bordeaux Rosé - 100% Merlot
A bleeding of our finest Merlot parcels, approximately 20% of the merlot vat's free run juice is drawn off only 3 hopurs after fruit comes in from the field.
Typically rich in alcohol, the rosé is vinified dry and makes a wonderful year round accompaniment for shellfish, white means, smoked meats and fish or as an aperitif.
Château La Gatte - Bordeaux Blanc
60% Sauvignon Gris, 40% Sauvignon Blanc
There is but one hectare (2.2 acres) of blancs planted at La Gatte, dating 1985. The rarely-seen sauvignon gris is pink in hue, has thick skins and gives great girth and body ; the sauvignon blanc lends much-needed aromatics. Dry, with nice acacia flower adn delicate mineral nuances, this wine makes a wonderful aperitif drink or can hold up to all seafood dishes, white meats, sauces, smoked meats and saucisson.
Château La Gatte "Tradi" - Bordeaux Red
80% Merlot, 20% cabernet sauvignon
This is a field blend, vinified in stainless steel tanks then transferred to cement vats until bottling.
Classic, spicy, with good grip, this wine drinks well young but can age too. (up to 5 - 7 years in bottle recommended to keep the fruityness)

La Butte - Bordeaux Superieur
100% Old vine merlot
The La Butte parcel sits behind the La Gatte château, perched upon a hill with an impressive slope towards the Dordogne river. The vineyard is composed of 100% merlot, replanted in 1958. The rich limestone is visible from the surface and gives naturally low yields. The vineyard's position gives it excellent drainage, photosynthesis and air movement, resulting in a precociously ripening fruit. The merlot picked from La Butte (regardless of vintage) is marked by a very dark color, velvety texture, deep, complex, spicy falvors and great length. tempting young, la Butte has stamina to hold and develop for two decades.
Domaine de Montalon - Bordeaux Supérieur
MONTALON proudly holds the title as the 3rd highest vineyard in the entire Gironde department, at 86 meters above sea level. Though replanted in 1978, vines have been growing here since at least 1639 when the parcel was mentioned in a family archive. Much less limestone than La Butte, Montalon is rich in quartz pebbles and clay. The vineyard is composed of 80% merlot and 20% cabernet sauvignon, the latter usually harvested 3 weeks after the merlot. Generally quite stern and backwards young, the Montalon parcel yields Médoc-like fruit that shows bright fruit and spice flavors when young but develops lovely, complex, deep, exotic flavors when aged.
